Prize-giving day at Stapleton Avenue Secondary School, Speke. 1953  No.122

These boys must all be in their 70s now, the teachers all long gone of course.
The boys would all have been born during WW2, and would have lived with rationing all their lives. It's 1953, so sweets will have just come off "coupons" a few months ago.
We'll never know what the joke was that has got them all laughing, - probably best that we don't!
It would be good to put a few names to some of those shiny faces with their dreams for the future, and to know what life has been like for them, (assuming that they managed to live through Liverpool in the 1960s of course!). If anyone has any information, we would gladly add it to the website for others to see.
